Claire Browne from Wilkins Kennedy LLP to abseil the Spinnaker Tower for Rose Road Association charity
Marketing coordinator Claire Browne from Wilkins Kennedy LLP Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Winchester is to abseil the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on Saturday 2nd June 2012 to raise money for the Rose Road Association, a young people’s disability charity in Southampton.
Claire Browne
The Rose Road Association has close ties with Wilkins Kennedy through Managing Partner Ian Talbot, who is a long-standing trustee of the charity.
Claire, 22, from Waterlooville, will abseil from a 100m ledge on the landmark 170m high Spinnaker Tower with views of Portsmouth Harbour, and is no stranger to daredevil fundraising, having skydived for a children’s charity in the past.
Claire says, “As soon as I heard about this opportunity online I knew I definitely wanted to take up the challenge, and at the same time raise money for the Rose Road Association, a fantastic local charity. The Rose Road Association needs to raise £500,000 every year to be able to offer its services and is a vital lifeline for many families across Hampshire. Fundraising is essential to enable their supportive work with children, young people and their families to continue and I am hoping to raise £500 towards this very worthy cause.”
