Wilkins Kennedy appoints Will Appleby to lead the audit department

Leading Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers Wilkins Kennedy has appointed Will Appleby to lead the audit department at the firm’s Winchester and Romsey offices.

Will joins the firm having spent 14 years at Ernst & Young LLP, rising to the position of Partner, where he oversaw audit strategy and operations across a wide range of firms from small owner managed businesses to multi-national corporate firms in the Telecoms, I.T. retail and internet start-up and manufacturing sectors. He spent time working internationally in India, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Stockholm, and has also worked on secondment to Vodafone Group plc.

Will’s new role will involve overseeing the functionality of the audit department and enhancing Wilkins Kennedy’s reputation for delivering quality audit solutions, as well as driving growth within the audit department of the firm, exploring new client markets and growing the client base.

Will says, “I am looking forward to using my skills and previous experience with companies on a regional and international level to build new business relationships and working with the partners to drive new revenue growth across the organisation.”

Ian Talbot, Managing Partner at Wilkins Kennedy says, “Will’s previous audit experience with both regional and multinational firms will be a huge asset to Wilkins Kennedy, as we continue to provide our clients with a personal, local service with full access to our extensive national company resources. All the partners and staff would like to warmly welcome him to the Winchester and Romsey offices.”

Will plays cricket every weekend, and enjoys the arts and theatre, sailing, fly-fishing and watching rugby.
