Wilkins Kennedy in Egham and Guildford launch new Solicitors Club
On 17 November 2010, the Egham and Guildford offices of chartered accountants and business advisers Wilkins Kennedy successfully launched their inaugural Solicitors Club meeting at Foxhills to a selection of solicitors based in Surrey, Middlesex, Hampshire and Berkshire.
The seminar, the first in a series of meetings aimed at discussing issues relevant to solicitors, was CPD accredited with the Solicitors Regulation Authority which meant that attendees were receiving “training” whilst enjoying their cooked breakfast!
Tommy White, Jemima Jones and Matthew Hall treated attendees to lectures covering a mixture of topics, including: a solicitors accounts rules update and updates on tax matters and practical tax planning issues.
Kevin Walmsley, managing partner at the Egham office, commented: “The feedback from the delegates was extremely positive and favourable. Good presentations, supported by conducive hosts and enthusiastic attendees – all in all hopefully an event that has positioned us well for the future and set a high standard for our next seminar on 16 February 2011”.
