WK Law tackles the new SRA handbook
Following on from the success of the breakfast seminars held for solicitors, WK Law hosted a seminar on Monday 19 September at Foxhills in Surrey regarding the introduction of the new SRA handbook, followed by a drinks reception.
The event was well attended with representatives from of a number of well-established law firms from the Surrey, Middlesex, Hampshire and Sussex areas. Attendees were given an overview on the content of the new handbook and changes to the Solicitors Accounts Rule by WK Law specialists Tommy White and Jemima Jones, followed by the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session.
Kevin Walmsley, managing partner of the Wilkins Kennedy Egham office, commented, “We are delighted that this event was able to build upon the success of our earlier seminars, and feedback from attendees was extremely positive. Both speakers gave first rate presentations and the topics covered created much debate amongst the attendees.”
WK Law was launched in 2010 and following positive feedback from attendees has been rolled out into a series of regular events, all CPD accredited with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
The next WK Law Breakfast Briefing will be on Wednesday 19th October at Foxhills, Surrey, and will cover LLP conversion and practical issues, VAT for the legal profession and Inheritance Tax and Estate planning.
