Colin Wiseman

Colin Wiseman is Head of Business Development at WKRR and the former Managing Partner of Wilkins Kennedy. Colin began his career by qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, following which he spent twelve years in industry, including holding the post of Financial Director of a PLC. He went on to lead the Corporate Recovery practice of a medium sized accountancy firm and was Managing Director of General Insolvency Services at a ‘Big 4’ firm. 

 
Colin has significant expertise and experience in all aspects of business recovery and insolvency including financial investigations, restructuring, formal insolvencies and liquidations across a wide range of sectors. In recent years, he has been particularly focused on detailed investigation assignments and monitoring roles for banks and financiers. He has worked on assignments for all of the major banks and has developed strong relationships with lending and factoring companies.
 
Colin has specialised over many years in the printing, advertising and pharmaceutical industries and more recently, the travel industry. He also has an expertise in sports governance having been appointed joint administrator of British Athletics Federation in 1997, the governing body of the sport at the time.


 
Colin is a licensed UK Insolvency Practitioner and a Chartered Accountant. He is a member of the Constitution Committee of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, and Member Services Ambassador for that Association.
 
His interests include football (watching these days!), playing golf, watching most other sport and running the Wiseman Trust, a charity founded by Colin and his wife Julie to fund medical research.
