Academies workshop to discuss the implications of the cessation of the VAT grant and other VAT issues relevant to the sector
Wilkins Kennedy has pleasure in inviting you to a workshop designed for those responsible for Finance within your Academy and other individuals involved within with academies sector.
The briefing will include a short presentation for 30 – 40 minutes followed by an open Forum providing attendees with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss experiences.
We will look at the financial and practical implications of the cessation of grants provided to academies from the Department for Education to cover this irrecoverable VAT and instead the requirement for academies to replicate the position of the local authorities and recover the VAT incurred directly from HMRC via their VAT returns.
