Audit Semi-Senior
Southampton

Reporting to the Audit Senior or Manager, you will:

  • assist with audit planning, field work and completion;
  • draft financial statements and corporation tax returns;
  • complete professional qualification.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performing audits, including at client premises, using audit software
  • To supervise, train and assist junior team members
  • To review work of junior team members
  • Producing audit files for review
  • Preparation of accounts and corporation tax computations
  • Liaising with clients and resolving basic client queries
  • Drafting of pre and post audit communication letters, letters of representation and engagement letters
  • To complete the ACA/ACCA qualification
  • Attendance at networking and marketing events
  • Identifying additional opportunities to advise clients

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Part qualified at either ACA/ACCA
  • Previous experience in practice
  • Competent in Microsoft office, including Excel and Word
  • Experience of computerised audit systems
  • Experience of performing and completing audit and accounts work
  • Ability to prioritise workload in order to achieve work deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • To demonstrate good timekeeping skills as well as displaying a professional attitude in all aspects of their work.
  • The ability to use initiative
  • The ability to communicate with different levels of employees
  • The ability to assist and train junior team members
  • Ability to delegate effectively where appropriate
  • Project a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Driver with access to car
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
