Leading accountancy firm, Wilkins Kennedy, is one of the first to move into the new Ashford Commercial Quarter from 30 April 2018.
The move was prompted by the building of the Ashford Commercial Quarter– one of the town’s Big 8 projects that promises to energise the area. As a firm, Wilkins Kennedy’s Ashford office is highly involved with local businesses and wanted to be part of the development story.
Wilkins Kennedy’s Ashford office, has been located on Station Road since merging with Finn, Kelcey & Chapman in 2008. The firm has grown significantly since then, following mergers in Canterbury and Maidstone in 2016, which brought the total number of offices in Kent to five.
Rob Reynolds, Managing Partner at Wilkins Kennedy’s five offices in Kent, said: “As a firm, our Kent offering has vastly expanded. Our increased presence has enabled us to develop our knowledge base, pioneering services such as the firm’s cloud offering from our Kent offices.
“The Commercial Quarter was designed and developed by Quinn Estates and we have known Mark Quinn, Chairman at Quinn Estates, for some time. When we heard of the plans to enhance the available office space in the town, we were naturally interested – and were keen to be one of the first to move in. We also understood that the infrastructure and development would bring new jobs and opportunities to the area and we wanted to be a part of that.”
