An accountancy firm in Hertford has raised £621 for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance following a number of festive fundraisers.
Staff at Wilkins Kennedy’s Hertford office, based on Ware Road, were asked to nominate charities to support for Christmas 2017. The winning charity was Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, a charity that provides a free life-saving emergency medical service to the critically ill and injured people in Essex, Herts and surrounding areas.
Funds were raised over several events, including a Christmas raffle where 41 prizes were up for grabs kindly donated by staff, clients and local businesses. Prizes ranged from shopping and cinema vouchers to 2 hours authorised leave.
Festive fun was rounded off with a Christmas Challenge, where teams had to fill a hamper that began with a specific letter of the alphabet. There was a £30 kitty to fill the hampers and leftover funds were added to the charity pot.
Tim Croft, Managing Partner at Wilkins Kennedy’s Hertford office and event host, said: “We wanted to show our appreciation to the charity and all the hard work that they do. Every event we held was so well-supported by staff and it is thanks to them that we were able to raise the money. We had great fun organising and running each one and it was a pleasure to hand over the money to such a worthy cause.”
