A quiz night held in aid of The Rose Road Association, has raised much needed funds for the charity.
The Rose Road Association, which is based in Southampton, works with children and adults with complex disabilities and health needs. The charity provides much-needed support to many local families – and the quiz night was a vital part of Rose Road’s fundraising calendar.
Sponsored and co-organised by Handelsbanken and Wilkins Kennedy, the Rose Road Charity Sports Quiz and Curry night, which saw several teams compete for the 2018 Quiz Champions title with a series of sports-related trivia, raised a total of £2,500.
Accountants Wilkins Kennedy, which act for a number of businesses in the area, has a long-standing relationship with The Rose Road Association through Bruce Elkins, a partner at Wilkins Kennedy’s Southampton office. As well as being an ambassador for Rose Road, Bruce is well known for his fundraising support locally, raising more than £250,000 over 25 years for charities including Rose Road and the Wessex Cancer Trust, to name a few.
