John commenced his insolvency career in 1979 and has owned and managed his own practice for many years. Following 17 years spent at Bridgers Insolvency Practice Limited, John joined Wilkins Kennedy in 2007 as a Partner of the firm. He currently heads up the Reading office, which specialises in corporate restructuring and recovery.
John’s many years in practice have given him a meticulous understanding of industry and business relationships, enabling him to support and advise SMEs on the day to day challenges of running a company.
John has a wealth of experience in the complexities of both corporate and personal insolvency matters, providing practical solutions for businesses in financial distress. His expertise enables positive recovery solutions for all types of insolvency, administrations, company voluntary arrangements, liquidations, bankruptcies and individual voluntary arrangements.
John is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Fellow of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, and a Member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association.
John is a keen yachtsman, having sailed extensively around the South Coast, Channel Islands and Scilly Isles. He also enjoys country pursuits such as fly fishing and clay pigeon shooting.
