Matthew spent his informative years working in both industry and professional practice as an accountant. In 1992, he joined CW Fellowes Limited, later specialising in tax and qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1997. Matthew joined Wilkins Kennedy in 2013, following the firm’s merger with CW Fellowes.
As a founder member of the tax consultancy team in the Southampton office, Matthew specialises in providing bespoke business and tax planning advice to owner managed businesses, entrepreneurs, private clients and trusts. He has particular expertise in income and capital planning, and in supporting firms with complex HMRC enquiries and tax litigation cases.
Matthew has broad sector experience, including a thorough knowledge of technology, intellectual property and farming.
Matthew belongs to the Research & Development Tax Relief Specialist Group, the Share Schemes Tax Specialist Group, and the Corporate Reorganisation & Transaction Specialist Group.
Matthew is a keen cyclist and enjoys spending time with his family.
