Mike deals with SME businesses of all sorts, but specialises in the farming and agricultural industry – a sector that requires a number of technical skills including tax planning, capital allowance planning, inheritance tax and succession planning.
He also provides litigation support to lawyers, primarily to calculate loss of earnings following a personal injury claim and business valuations in divorce cases.
As someone who enjoys dealing with people, Mike sees the business world as made up of a wide variety of individuals, each with different outlooks on life. So when advising business owners, he treats every assignment as unique and focuses on helping to solve individual problems and spot opportunities, be they financial, organisational or tax related, so that his client can move forward in a more positive way.
Outside of work, when not supporting his daughters – one is training as a dancer and the other plays football for England at junior level – Mike enjoys history, particularly local history. He is also a Rotarian and enjoys the comradeship and ability to give something back to the local community.
