Steven is a Director in the London office. After a quantity surveying degree, Steven qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1995, and then he joined a Big 4 accountant, specialising in capital allowances and passing tax exams. In 2001 he was elected to Fellowship of the RICS.
Steven has more than 20 years’ specialist capital allowances experience and is a leading expert in the field. Steven has worked across a wide range of property-rich sectors including investment property, healthcare, hospitality, restaurants and pubs, retail, engineering and manufacturing and renewable technologies amongst others.
Steven is the author or co-author of Bloomsbury Professional’s Capital Allowances: Transactions & Planning, Tolley’s Tax Planning, RICS’s practice note on capital allowances, and Practical Law’s Replying to CPSE.1 enquiry 32 on capital allowances and is a regular speaker on the subject. He chairs RICS panels assessing the professional competence of prospective RICS members specialising in taxation allowances.
Steven plays and coaches cricket in his spare time.
